MONTRÉAL, Québec – From April to June 2017, Wines of Germany kicked off multiple promotions with the SAQ targeting wine consumers and industry professionals across the province.

SAQ consumer promotions included a Montréal radio contest on 105.7 FM for a chance to win a German wine cellar valued at over $1,000, 120 German wine displays at SAQ stores in April and May and an in-store wine tasting “blitz” on May 13th at over 90 SAQ Signature stores.

To round out the program, a SAQ Inspire loyalty points contest was held for German wine enthusiasts for a chance to win seats at an exclusive German wine pairing dinner led by renowned sommelier and La Presse columnist Véronique Rivest, at the fabulous Restaurant Toque!

SAQ employees also had an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of German wines with a German wine pairing and tasting presentation by Véronique Rivest at Restaurant État Major.

German wines are undeniably beloved by consumers and the industry. These events provide wine lovers and trade an opportunity to learn more about the region and discover the versatility of German wines.” said Rizlaine Ourimchi, Project Manager at Wines of Germany, Canada.
