TORONTO – September 20, 2017 – It is said it takes only 30 days to develop a new habit, so we offered Canadians 31 days to fall for the flavours of German Riesling. Over 40 restaurants and retailers joined this movement and dedicated their summers to German Rieslings. The result, over 48,000 contest entries for a draw to win a Long Weekend for Two to Berlin.
Wines of Germany is pleased to announce the winners of 31 days of German Riesling:
Susan Pike, from Vancouver BC is the winner of the Long Weekend for Two to Berlin customer contest – Mrs. Pike enjoyed a glass of German wine at Bauhaus Restaurant located in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood.
Winner of the licensee draw is Mr. José Luis Fernández from Quatrefoil Restaurant located in Dundas, Ontario. Mr. Fernández will participate in the elite Sommelier Summer Class in Germany in 2018! Upon learning of his prize Mr. Fernández declared, “We are huge fans, and love being part of the 31 days of German Riesling promotion every summer, not only for the versatility of the different styles of wines paired with our menus, but also because of the high level of deliciousness found in them.”
